That substrate is probably dehydrated. Even with direct misting, I've never seen bruising get that extreme from anything other than a lack of moisture. Dunk it for 24 hours and reintroduce it to pinning triggers, and I bet you'll see them in no time.Provide lots of FAE, but keep the humidity as high as possible.
If you really think the bruising is from direct misting, don't spray the mycelium directly. Spray into the air above it, or spray the sides of your fruiting chamber.
Otherwise, just be patient. Pinning doesn't always happen quickly.

Take a closer and better picture with proper lighting. That appears to be mold, but can't tell for sure. RR

I agree with RR that looks just like the mold I grow once or twice. But like RR said better pix would help.

I dunno if that is a contam or bruising from dehydration. Usually bruising isn't all gradiated like that.

It may be mold. I'm obviously learning, and I can't seem to get a better picture. I guess I didn't think it was mold since I've never seen it like it appears here, if that is really mold.
If it is can I do anything about it... thankyou!!!

...having prolonged water droplets sitting on the surface probablly indicates mold rather than bruising huh?

Anyway you could click the flower button on your camera, it's also known as the macro button? It should clear up those fuzzy close ups.

Green mold, it's a gonner indoors but you may be able to salt the affected areas and place FC outdoors if its not too cold outside yet. You need to increase your fresh air exchange. Thoroughly fan out your FC 3+ times a day. Have patience and good luck!

How long did you let it colonize? I have had something similar on a hpoo try before . The tray stalled and didnt completely coli do to a mold that looked like that.It also didn't have a smell, it smelled like mushes. 75% of the tray was coli so I fruited it separate. Printed the mushes and throw the left overs in the compost pile. I didn't eat them. They may be poisonous. You can salvage something though good luck.

...having never grown mushroooms before, it seems like once there is mycelium appearing in the casing layer, just under the top surface, unless you have some ultra fine mister any mist that falls on the mycelium at 90+ humidity will not dissipate with hand fanning. To get the very fine mist that I get even from my sprayer to evaporate from the top I had to set the casing in front of fan to revove the micro sized moisture droplets...so I'm thinking that once the casing layer (i'm using miracle grow) is placed with proper moisture content maybe mist for the first 3-4 days if needed but once mycelium growth appears stay to misting the sides of the chamber if required... thankyou for any suggestions!!! support!!! Love!!! whatever...

I think I fruited to early too. After full colonization I fruited 2 days later...I understand now that I should have let it go at least a week from that point. Is this particularly so with PR or does waiting a week with say ecuadorians, GT, Mazatapac ect. help with the overall prepinning stage...?
thanyou...!
