Go and get some damp rid and make those shrooms cracker dry before storing them.
If they have any moisture left in them, you run the risk of bacteria growing on them and making them bad.

 Yep, definately get some damp-rid in the bottom of that jar.  It's really cheap and though salt will work it doesn't even compare to the calcium carbonate for how quickly it'll pull moisture out of the air.

Probably but you may want to leave the lid off

Lay them out on a paper bag or something where they can get air.
When you use the damp rid, DO NOT let the mushrooms touch it.
Use a screen or something to hold the mushrooms up over the damp rid.
Peace.

or maybe just lay them -around- the damp rid container instead of over?

edit: that's what I ended up doing. I figure it will work just as well

I use an old coffee can with about an inch of damp rid on the bottom and a jar lid over that with a piece of window screen over that and then put the mushrooms in it and cover it.
If they are fan dried, it will take about 24-36 hours to make them cracker dry.
I would not let the mushrooms touch the damp rid. I have heard you will get a nasty taste or something in the fruits.
Good luck.

I also found a rubbermaid container made for keeping lettuce and stuff fresh and crispy, it has this little rack in it and I fill it with a little damp rid, put the rack down and put mushrooms on the rack.
There are two small holes in the side of the lid for air exchange that I sealed with caulk to make it air tight.

they're not touching the damp rid. the damp rid came in a little container and its on the bottom of the coffee can with the shrooms scattered around it. I figure it will work ok

wow the difference from before the damp-rid to now is amazing, they crumble between my fingers like crackers.

A nice little  jar of goodness here.
