Pics from today's foray
    #8976950 - 09/24/08 04:44 AM (15 years, 6 months ago)

We got a good dose of rain yesterday, and a lot of fog this morning, so I thought I'd try my luck at finding some Libs again. Didn't find a thing in the fields, I'm not sure if it's just bad luck or if I'm looking in the wrong places. Is this the type of habitat I should be looking for?

There were lots of mycenas coming out in the woods nearby:

Notice the red thing under the cap of one of the mycenas in the last picture? I have no idea what it is, I just noticed it as I was resizing the photos. Maybe a ladybug?

Not sure what these are, maybe young Russulas?

Even found my first stinkhorn:

Not every group of mushrooms is pretty:

And finally a spiderweb covered with morning fog:

I guess I'll look for some new fields to try tomorrow, maybe I'll have better luck then.

Nice pics man. Love that spiderweb pic. And yeah that last pic of the mycenas looks like there is a ladybug underneath.

Anyway have a great day man.

Wow. I love the pictures, especially the last mycena pic with the ladybug (?).
The spider web looks really cool as well.

Good luck with any future hunts, and may you find many a Psilocybe.

Man, that field looks just good to go  I checked 'my' fields last week as well and found nothing; it's just a tad too early. Wait till the really nice and chilly autumn weather kicks in and you'll be fine

I love the pics btw! I don't know what that cluster of red mushrooms is exactly, but I bet they're not russulas. My best bet would be a stropharia species, but wait till they mature and check back then!
