I just got a 6 month old german shepherd mixed with boxer. I have no idea if I should get him fixed or not.

He used to end every single episode of the Price is Right by saying, "Help control the pet population - spay and neuter your pets."

there are benefits to neutering a dog though
it eliminates/reduces problems such as:
* Territoriality and aggression, including urinating to mark territory, and fighting to defend it * Wandering, escaping, and automobile injuries * "Riding" inappropriate objects * Prostate enlargement (occurs in at least 60% of unneutered male dogs 5 years or older) * Prostate tumors and infections * Tumors of the testicles, penis, anal area * Perineal hernia (rupture of the posterior abdominal wall) * Stress, leading to increased susceptibility to disease * Need for extra food

If you have any aggresive breed of dog, and do not intend on breeding them, you should have it neutered..

I would say no. If it was a female dog, I would say for sure get fixed. If a non-fixed male gets out, fucks some females, no big deal, won't get pregnant. But female dogs will be your problem if they get out. Plus, fixing females doesn't change their attitudes, when you fix a male it does.

if he doesnt plan on breeding the dog, its not mean. its called population control. there are far too many homeless animals in this country to let any of them have their reproductive organs.

if you cant handle these things:
* Territoriality and aggression, including urinating to mark territory, and fighting to defend it * Wandering, escaping, and automobile injuries * "Riding" inappropriate objects * Prostate enlargement (occurs in at least 60% of unneutered male dogs 5 years or older) * Prostate tumors and infections * Tumors of the testicles, penis, anal area * Perineal hernia (rupture of the posterior abdominal wall) * Stress, leading to increased susceptibility to disease * Need for extra food
then consider buying a goldfish, or a non-aggresive breed of dog

i think after having your second child, all humans should be spayed/neutered. and some should have it done BEFORE they have kids.

I do not agree with your logic. Humans and dogs are not equals at all.
I also wouldn't want to eat fucking dog food, but my dogs will eat it if they don't want to starve.
