Loving that autumn chill in the air.

Sweet hoodie-wearing goodness, this weather!

Word... most of my favorite clothes are fall clothes.

On that note, I guess it's time to start digging into the mountain of dirty laundry behind my bedroom door.

Pants tend to be in short supply for me... it's hard to even find ones that fit me, really, so I don't buy pants much.

I'll probably coast through the fall on my one pair of jeans and a shitty pair of dockers with a huge oil stain on the leg.

Oil stain? What kind of oil? Paint? Battle scars in the war for self-expression?

New England is great in that way.
One of the few times New England
actually wins. very few. scarce, even.

Haha... no. Wouldn't that be nice.

It's just a big permanently-darker-than-the-rest patch from spilling about a gallon of olive oil (might have been canola) on myself when I worked at the hippie pizza place.

It's actually pretty unnticeable, because it's strategically located just below the knee, covering most of the shin area. Luckily, the human eye expects shadow in that area anyway so it's easily overlooked.

QFT, FTW

I can't wait to trip again. I need a real ass-kicker of a trip. I'm thinking 4 grams of mushrooms, when the roommates are gone, and the leaves in the huge park 2 blocks away are all a-changin' orange goodness.

I've invested in a $8.99 pair of Wal-mart dark shorts with camo pattern on them. That way, when I stain them, the stains just blend in with the camo. :awesome:

Yeah, I am pretty inspired by autumn as well. There's something about death looming in the air... it seems the most "realistic" period of the year to me... because death is always hanging in the air, and we simply fail to acknowledge it most of the time...

This post made me go, "Hmmmm!" I really like that thought of autumn as the most realistic time of year. I shared it with a couple of friends right away, and it made them both Hmm! as well.

I think that, as winter approaches, we gather and more greatly appreciate the more subtle enjoyable aspects of our lives. Death looms near, but has not encroached quite yet, giving us time to embrace the aspects of living that we love the most.

It's similar to how I would imagine it feels to find out you only have a year or two left to live... or simply to move into the later stages of one's life, where one might more deeply appreciate the subtle aspects of being.

I wish I could dose and drive so I could take a trip through the southern tier, or even the Delaware Water Gap. The scenery down there is amazing.
