First pins, first grow ever, penis envy

well i finally got some pins. nothing special, one on one cake, and two on another (from what i can see). This is my first grow ever and im pretty excited i got something to show up. i have a picture of yesterday, and one of right now showing the difference in just that amount of time. Does it look like any other cakes are pinning? i cant really tell. thanks

Looks like the stones used to grow Bamboo plants.  Only in this case its for humidity (just a guess).

What is that pipe going into the stones?

Isn't it amazing how they literally double in size over night.

its geolite. i have an air bubbler underwater for fae.heater for winter as well :wink:

does that cake thats growing into it look like its about to pin? im not really sure what to look for but they look like little mountain peaks to me?

I dunno if its good to have it growing on your geolite though.

Id leave it for this flush, But maybe throw some foil under it so the myc doesn't grow onto your geolite for the second flush.

He has some ceramic saucers under the cakes, but the myc is just taking a road trip! Maybe bigger saucers?

they are the lids from the jar. i read everywhere else that its fine to put the cake directly onto the geolite. others have screens holding it up higher. ill do something about it next flush for sure, but im not touching it now.

im pretty sure that the cake might have gotten a little too wet and the vermiculite came off a little, and into the geolite...giving it something to grow on. it is worst on the cake that is closest to where i usually open for an occasional mist. makes sense i guess. is it possible to pin off of the geolite or only the cake itself? that would look pretty cool!
