Spacing of Monotub FAE Holes

I've been reading up on monotub construction for a bit now, but I had some general questions unanswerable through search.
Most monotubs I've seen have their holes slightly above the substrate. Then the next hole is 8 inches up.
Is this 8 inch spacing set in stone? Or does the top hole just need to be somewhere near the top of the container to provide FAE?
The reason why I ask this is because the container I'm planning on using is a 69qt/73lt rubbermaid tub. It's about 14.5 inches tall, 20 inches long and 14 inches wide. Will this container work?
I've taken pictures but they're on my camera and I'm waiting to upload all of the pics from this entire experiment and do a detailed growlog.

Yeah that container size is fine. No 8inches is not set in stone by any means, just put the top holes near the top of the container and you'll be fine...good luck

I have also seen people just do like 5 inches.. So they do 5inches from the bottom and 5 inches from the top.. Just depends but the top holes are by no means set in stone..

The reason people have there holes at the perlight bedding lvl, is cause Co2 buildup lays at the bottom... So it can gtfo better

The nexus of space and time where you are now is the most immediate sector of your universe, and if you're worrying about Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton or somebody else, then you are disempowered, you're giving it all away to icons, icons which are maintained by an electronic media so that you want to dress like X or have lips like Y. This is shit-brained, this kind of thinking. That is all cultural diversion, and what is real is you and your friends and your associations, your highs, your orgasms, your hopes, your plans, your fears. And we are told 'no', we're unimportant, we're peripheral. 'Get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that.' And then you're a player, you don't want to even play in that game. Let me rephrase what I said the bottom holes are set in stone sort of.. You want them right above your substrate so.. If you are going to have 4 inches of sub and 1/2 inch of casing then you know you hole should be around 4 1/2 to 5 inches from the bottom.. But the top hole location is not set in stone..
