Some HQ pics...random household species

Alright, not exactly entheogens in most cases, but ethnobotanic in the sense that these species do have their uses to man. Enjoy!
In-door grown banana tree artwork, Dwarf Cavendish. I hope I'll get it to flower or, at least, get it through winter alive:
From my balcony Ipomoea violacea:
Italian tomatoes:
Tropaeolum majus, both the leaves and the flowers are nice in salads and apparently the seedpods can be processed and eaten like capers:
Basil; homemade pesto FTW!
Mesembrianthemum:
Osteospermum hybrid:
Passiflora:
Peppers:
From the garden of my father in law: Nuts:
Japanese wineberries:
California poppies:
And that's about it for this summer, cause it seems the good weather has all run out now!

like 4 of them are Entheos Nice pics but the first 2 need a farther shot. Take care of that Bananna tree because they will soon be extinct.

Ipomoea, Californian poppy and passiflora; couldn't spot the 4th myself, but 3 species is not bad I suppose

The first is a pretty crappy photo, I agree. I somehow like the second one though, I wouldn't want to take it wider. I'm not perfectly happy with the focal point though, but on web size, it's not a big problem.

Yeah, I understand theres a bit of a problem with them. I'm not really up to date on that though, as bananas are not grown commercially on a large scale in this country.

I have quite a few banana trees at my house, which we cut down and stow away every winter, then replant.

I was replying to the OP. If you look at the top of every post it says Re: and the person I am replying to. When you make each post theres a multiple chouce box that says Reply to: where you can choose. But yeah thats awesome you got some to sprout . Save the banannas I tried to germinate them before with no luck. And to the OP... yeah thanks for the far shot nice plant I want one myself.

As to the baby-bananas: The plant pictured above actually has a baby-tree, but due to the low light levels at the base, it doesn't really develop. I hope it'll flower this year, but I'll try cutting back most of the leaves if it doesn't, see if I can get it through the dark winter.

i normally cut the leaves off, then bundle the trunks up and stow them away in the roof of my basement.
Just stick them back in soil in spring and they always come right back.

So you don't water them during the winter? Do you allow the rhyzome to dry out?

I wish you could send me one of your plants KBG. But don't worry, I'll get hold of some musa basjoo one day and spread those around the country, just you wait They're practically the only banana species that can survive throughout the winter outdoors in this climate. Anyway, I just had a peek at your topic and I'm absolutely envious of your garden; enjoyable pics!
@teefizzle: thanks for the tip, let's see what happens with this one I got here. I suspect it'll stall in about a month or so.

Thanks man,and I could send you one of the plants,All I would have to do is cut it all the way down to the root ball, and package it up.That's what people do with their banana plants up north when the store them for the winter, and then when it gets warm enough, they replant the root ball, and a it starts right back where it left off. Also, these bananas produce delectable fruit that is half the size of a store bought banana.I can't wait for the real big ones in the banana forest to ripen up,because I'm going to rack up!

Sorry man,I didn't say I was going to trade,I was only stating that it is possible to send a banana plant root ball through the mail, plus I have no job,and I'm broke as hell.I wouldn't even have the postage to send it,hehe. How do you view the market place any way?Do you have to have a certain amount of posts?
