Mushroom 1 is indeed an Amanita, kind of like a Grisette with warts...I don't know the actual species; certainly NOT A. muscaria. Mushroom 2 appears to be some kind of Lepiota.

Good calls, N2loma.

The first is an Amanita, and the gray warts suggest it's close to Amanita ceciliae. Although that particular species is edible, we don't have nearly enough information to make an accurate ID, so they should definitely not be eaten.

The second looks close to Chlorophyllum rachodes (=Lepiota rachodes, =Macrolepiota rachodes). Again, we don't have enough information to recommend eating those.

ytse, when you want an accurate ID, make sure you include all the information described in the sticky thread at the top of the forum. We really do need that information to make an attempt at an accurate ID.

Happy mushrooming!

http://pluto.njcc.com/~ret/amanita/species/subglobo.html i would say maybe this dont take my word. its probally like he said Amanita ceciliae. i find when it comes to wart colour you really gota go wtih unweathered and aged ones to be accurtate

Nah, I stick with TM's guess. Note the lack of a striate margin on these finds, which pretty much rules out a. ceciliae as an option.

Appreciate to see you around here btw, been missing you in the hunting section lately (or perhaps I checked the wrong threads)!
