Cubes!?-Please ID

Habitat:
Cow field-SW Arkansas
Gills:
Dark gray/black?
Stem: Tough feeling, does not snap easy, not thick or thin
Cap: 1-4" Rubbery feel, brown in center
Spore print color:
Maybe I'm part color blind but it is really hard for me to tell the difference between dark brown, dark gray, or black. I would say it is one of those.
Bruising:
Blue!
Other information:
Doesn't have much of a smell. Most were found growing out of very old piles of cow poop.
I'm fairly sure these are cubes but I'm still a noob so I want to make sure.
Can you guys kind of guess at what would be a decent dose from the pic's? I have two more med sized ones that I've dried. I know I need a scale but I've never done mushrooms. I would at least like to give it a try "and make sure it is something I would want to do again" before I spend the money on a scale.

yeah those are cubes. nice ! i would just eat the four small ones on the bottom row if you hae never done them before. everything you have there is probably about 3.5 to 5 grams dried out. i think the 4 small ones will dry to 1.5 grams at most (total)

Thanks for the replys. I have them drying but I'm kind of wanting to do it tonight since I have nothing to do tomorrow.
Thanks for the rough estimate on the weight. I'll probably just eat them all tonight. Me and my g/f both took a small dose before and she tripped pretty hard but I only felt mildly stoned. I really want get the full effect this time. She doesn't sound all that interested so it's looking like she will be trip sitting me tonight.
I'm thinking about chopping them up real good and soaking them in lemon juice for about an hour. Then downing the limon juice and chasing it with some orange juice. From what I've read that should do the trick...and is a little crazy considering my lack of experiance. I just want to make sure I'm not sitting there wonding if it is going to work for 6 hours this time. My "first" time with a small dose was lame. I think I can handle a good dose as long as I eventually come back around lol.

I use a vitamin C solution to extract the psilocybin, but practically anything works. Eat them dried/fresh, make shroom tea, make an extract, just do whatever you fancy.

is it the vitamin C or is it the acidity of the juice you are using?

The vitamin C can't hurt and neither can the acidity of the juice, but probably the biggest reason that the lemon juice/vitamin C tek works is because the mushrooms are dissolved in water which greatly increases the rate of absorption.

The acidity in a vitamin C is caused by the vitamin C itself (remember that it's ascorbic acid), which helps the psilocybin to dissolve. This will work with any other acid as well btw, but vitamin C is the health option Don't mind about the stories that vitamin C would suppress the trip. They're plain bollocks, I can assure you As Alan stated, dissolving the psilocybin makes it easier for your body to absorb the active compound.

How do you guys know that these aren't Dung Domes (Stropharia semiglobata)? From what I've read the only difference between dung domes and cubes is the cubes blue when bruised.

Stropharia semiglobata look nothing like cubes:

If you think they look like cubes, you need to really work on your comparative skills. Veil is different, stem is different, cap shape is different, spore color is different.
Also, not all books are great sources of information on every species. Some have great info on several species, but have limited or incorrect info on others. Some are pretty average all together, and some suck.
Finally, there is no substitute for experience. Most of the people here have found cubensis in the wild, or have cultivated them. If you have found them before, it's pretty easy to ID them.
