casing Atlantis#7 in the jar ?

i have one jar of Atlantis#7 left over from a stone project that i started. it been forming stones in the jar for about a month, i was wondering if i can just case them in the jar to maybe get a few mushrooms. if so what would be a good casing layer(coir?) how deep should i put the casing layer in the jar, and where would i put this jar after this step. In a fruiting chamber ?how about in a sealed myco bag with perlite on the bottom. thank you if anyone responds.

Coir is shit for a casing. Look up Ryche Hawk's 50/50+ tek. I've only grown cubes so thats all the advise I have.

i don't understand why coir cant be used + i was under the impression that overlay is good for the production of mushrooms in mexicana just like it is for pans. please can someone help answer any of my original questions

coir is generally not a good casing layer because it contains nutrients which will promote mycelium growth within the casing layer -- a bad thing. it can lead to overlay, which can slow down fruiting significantly.
the casing layer should be non-nutritious. it's only purpose is to provide the right micro-climate to allow for good mushy growth from your substrate.

how did you even get this far??
not to be rude, but find a tek and follow it. There are 100's on this site. They all answer your questions over and over and over.
but since i'm here and i always find it annoying when people just post a reply telling you where to find your answer instead of just answering it...
if you have a fruiting chamber, dump the cake out of the jar, rinse it off, roll (literally) it in vermiculite, then place it in your fruiting chamber. mist it with clean water and fan it 3 times a day. in 2-3 weeks you'll have mushies.
don't use coir to case. use vermiculite at a minimum.

i tried casing several jars of jalisco and Atlantis#7 in the jar i put those jars in mycobags that had perlite on the bottom. they overlay ed the peat moss within 2 weeks i then let them sit there because i didn't know what to do. i scratched the casing and started misting them . i feel stones in the casing layer. anyone with suggestions? maybe a cold shock for the hell of it ?
