Modular Martha

I'm getting a little deeper into this hobby and am now feeling the need for a Martha. I went around my tiny ass town shopping for materials before I realized I didn't need anything but a coolmist. I took two of my empty tubs and cut out panels in the bottoms and lids. I ran a few rods across the bottom of the tubs for the trays to sit on. I figure I can have a stack of four or five tubs prepared this way, adding or subtracting tubs as needed. Had the tubs laying around, so I dont feel bad about hacking them up w/ the Dremmel. Started any empty pilot run w/ a stack of two FC's on top of a base tub filled with perlite and humidity is rising. Anyone else done this before?

I've never personally tried to do a martha. Always seemed like too much work making things more complicated than they had to be.

Why don't you just do a monotub? No need to dick around with a humidifier... Just a tub and some polyfil and/or a fishtank air pump on a timer.

I can handle losing one tray to contams, but not an entire tub. My capacity for pasteurization is also low due to circumstances beyond my control. I'm limited to six qts (edit: sterilization) at a time, which fills enough trays to occupy one (edit: or two) FC's.
