Blueing Mycelium

I started 6 quart jars with rye about 3 weeks ago. Right now, 3 are looking like they are fully colonized (already shaken once). One of the 3 has been slowly starting to exhibit a blueing of the mycelium over the past week, after it was practically fully colonized.

At first I thought it might just be the 'blue cubensis' showing through in the mycelium but now it looks almost like a contam.

Any thoughts? I almost feel as if I've waited too long on this one jar, I was waiting for others for a big casing.

HMMMM

They usually dont blue in the jar so like said above see if it smells and wait see if the growth of "blue" spreads if this is so its most likely contamination and dispose of it.

blueing is fine........just mycelium bruising. I have used jars stored for over 5 months that were blue all over and they were fine. Good luck.

I've noticed cakes seem to blue as they dry, try a dunk when you birth 'em and it will probably brighten to white.
