Myco tool organization?
    #8798993 - 08/19/08 11:11 PM (15 years, 7 months ago)

I just wanted to get some ideas on how you NEATLY store your myco tools. You know agar, petri dishes, peroxide, alcohol, flame lamp, rubber bands, microspore tape, ect. Right now I just throw everything inside a cardboard box all together and Im not happy with this. Any ideas for organization? Got pics?

damn girls are always more neatly organized than guys.

I usually have things just thrown together with what I need them for. I keep my glove box utilities together inside the glovebox, my pillowcase pasteurization stuff all in the cooler I use with it. Basically it's just keeping everything that has to be used together based on when I use it, in the same place and ready for my next use. That way even though, I may have tonnes of stuff just in totes somewhere from the last time I moved and be totally disorganized in that respect, I'm prepared when I've gota do something.

Dont use Vasoline on the PC seal. Petroleum degrades rubber! Breaks it down chemically. Use liquid dish soap and water on that PC seal. That would be like putting vasoline on a rubber. Its a no no.

Im glad I cut my supplies down to the basics. Too much stuff just looks like a drug lab. Hiding it in a filing box looks camouflaged. Looks like schools supplies for college or a junk box.
