I picked up this puppy at a cute little plant shop in my neighbourhood, they told me it was indeed San Pedro. Positive i.d.? I paid $24 for it. Not bad for such a large, vibrant cactus imo, especially considering they aren't too readily available up in my corner of the world.

or 7...
i suppose 7 grafting stocks is not too bad for that price... but still you should take it back and complain, unless you need 7 grafting stocks.

it's really common for people to mistake them for trichocereus, but usually people buy them as unlabelled plants and misidentify with their own untrained eye...
can't believe that they are actually selling those as san pedro, bloody rip off merchants

lol if you were close to me i'd buy them, i can't get enough grafting stocks! but they are over priced at $24 and it's not worth the shipping costs to here
if the place is local, your best bet is to take them back... stand your ground and demand that they return your money...
you can pick them up for like $1 or $2 at the most from places like wallmart, lowes, etc...
jesus i know too much about american shops for an englishman

Def. M. geo.
Keep em and grow them up big if you ever plan on doing grafting, even if years from now. You will have a sweet grafting stock then, i hear they are great for growing lophs to huge sizes.
They also grow edible fruit when mature, hundreds of little blueberry like fruit - one out of every aerole. Even tho they wont get me munted, they are still one of my favorite species

edible fruit? ooh, that's pretty cool... hmm... how old is mature? are they a long way off, or getting there? They're about a foot tall and 3 inches thick right now.
If I were to keep them would i want to separate them into individual pots, or could I keep them together in the same (bigger) pot?

Definitely give them their own individual pots; cacti love their own space.

thats much bigger than they seem from the pics, for that size the price is not too bad
not sure how old or rather how big myrtillo have to be to flower, but i imagine you are a few years away from seeing any fruit from them
if you intend to keep them then separate them for sure, no doubt their roots are already well entwined together so try to damage the root systems as little as possible when separating them and leave them dry for a week while any damaged roots callous.

Well, I exchanged them. I got what looks like a small m.g., a couple of succulents and a tropical. I kinda miss 'em but ah well. Variety is nice. Are succulents good in cactus soil? I have a bag of it and they need a transplant...
