nope, not trichocereus, this should be in the ethnobotanical garden forum though.

That is not San Pedro.

I can't say what it is but I am sure it is not San Pedro.

this is my san pedro:

its hard to really give you identification tips without you actually physically being here for me to show you, i suggest ordering your first pedro/bridgesii/peruvianus to get a feel on just what is a trichocereus.

Im disappointed now. Anyway how long do seeds take to grow to about 1.5 feet? Or should i just go with a cutting from a website or such?

pedros don't get spikes that are so huge.

The spines are just too long, wrong color, and are too abundant. What that other guy posted is decent example.

I think I've had a similar cactus potted in the yard for decoration. It isn't San Pedro or anything related to it though as far as I can tell.

It is easy to hold a San Pedro cactus without getting poked and the spines would not stick to you.

seedlings grow slowly fo their first 2 years, 1.5 feet i would expect in about 3 years of growth from seed, maybe. mine is several years old, last year i stunted its growth by damaging it, at least i think that was the cause.

i say order a rooted cutting of pachanoi, bridgesii, and peruvianus.

I'd suggest ordering 2'. 18" for now, 6" for the pot.
