Two individuals face drug-related charges after allegedly forging a prescription for hydrocodone.

Jonathan Lynn Burrow, 36, Iron Station, and Heather Harris Hansen, 29, Lincolnton, are both charged with felony trafficking opium by possession, trafficking opium by transport and conspiracy to traffic opium by possession, authorities said.

According to Detective Dennis Harris of the Lincolnton Police Department, the suspects called in a fraudulent prescription to The Drug Store Wednesday afternoon.

“Hydrocodone is an opium-derived substance and the [unauthorized] prescription was well over the trafficked amount,” Harris said.

The suspects were arrested within minutes of receiving the prescription.

“They had about 60 hydrocodone tablets and had eaten about six by the time we arrested them,” Harris said.

Burrow is held at the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center on a $100,000 secured bond. Hansen also is held at the facility on a $50,000 secured bond.

Well, I think its pretty obvious they were in possession of, and trafficking, 0 grams of opium.
Hope those charges get dismissed.

I'm so sick of reading these articles. I turned on the TV and it was on cops last night. They were setting up and arresting the BUYERS!?!?! I don't agree with any of it, BUT I really disagree with street level dealers and buyers. If you are going to go for it go for the big guy.

They arrested these people for 60 or so OPIUMS(lortabs). I mean c'mon. What were they going to do? Nod out in their taco bell later that night?
