High all...
my bro came yesterday with another wild shroom. This time is probably poisonous, i think.
the shroom was found under a tree, i will send my bro again at the spot to identify it. its color is off-white to pale yellow, in case it looks like differently on photos [each monitor shows a differenciation]
it didnt smell any weird, normal shroom smell
the weird thing is that gills are white but spores are brownish!
here r the pix:

a little more detail of cap, gills and spores:

THANK YOU ALL!!

It looks like a Clitocybe, Anise. What was the spore count?

sorry to ask, but what do you mean by "spore count" ?
my bro picked the biggest of a bunch of same shrooms there. i suppose it had its majority of spores already dropped.
the print on the photo shows how much spores i collected in one night; the shrooms in the morning was there very soft and thin, so as to dismantle if i can use this word...

Nice photos, and interesting specimen. At first glance it looks like a Lepiota. The conspicuously striate margin then suggests that it could be an Amanita. Both of these conflict with a brown spore print.
Could you verify that the brownish color is spores and not just staining of the paper by juices from the gills? If the spore print actually is dark, could you get a bit heavier spore print (the color in this one is difficult to decide on)?
Next, the base of the stem looks like it could have been broken off (if it is an Amanita, that would have left the volva behind). If possible, verify that you have the entire base of the mushroom and no volva-like portions were left behind.
Finally, could you split the stem vertically with a knife and let us know about any color changes that occur within about 60 minutes?
-------------------- Happy mushrooming!

no i cant verify that. and now that i am thinking more clear, this must be the case.
so pause this thread here and i am sending my bro to the spot to verify the tree and to pick another specimen, smaller.
THANX!

Well... They're not active, if thats what you were hoping for. Picking white gilled mushrooms hoping to find actives is really a waste of time. If you're interested in edibles, some have white gills/spores. Be careful with all mushrooms that drop white spores though, they can be deadly.

Toxic man read my mind. Lepiota, then amanita by the edges of the cap. But the lack of a vulva, or striations along the stipe make me think otherwise. Brown spores ? wow, no clue of this puppy. What kind of tree was the mushroom growing on ?
