Could someone please tell me exactly what that chart means.I am trying to put together a flowhood and i came across some filters when i looked up spec sheets i came across this for the type i was looking at.Now it seems at first glance to mean that at .3Sp it will provide the suggested (by fungifun and everyone else it seems) 100 cfm flow rate needed for myco work. However these seems insanely low SP.AM i understanding it right cause if so damn this will make buying a blower way easier. However there is another spec sheet

the model I'm looking at has same dimensions as the top listed one which has a Sp of 1.35 but a cfm of 2000.its pretty confusing to me.I thought i had this figured out till i stumbled upon this stuff.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Eclipse

The .3 figure is the micron size it will filter at either 99.97% (square dots) or 99.999% (round dots)
If using the 99.97% filter, the chart says you'll get a velocity of of 150 fpm @ .8" static pressure. If using the 99.999% filter, you'll need 1.20" of static pressure to get the same flow rate. RR

ok that sort of makes sense to me,so since i need approx 100 fpm (what you and everyone else recommend for myco flowhoods) would i use the .6 mark where the chart says the 99.97 filter has 100 fpm,(its actually right under .6)to calculate the blower ill need.most calculations ive seen use filters that have 1.0 sp and then with .2 that a furnace prefilter adds it makes the sp aboput 1.2.Considering I want to make a 24 x 24 flowhood this makes the blower requirements fairly high which tends to equal more money.SO I guess what im really asking is that if i use the 99.97 filter and a furnace filter with .2 sp woudl i be able to use a blower that u provides 400 cfm at .8 sp?
