for some diesel, and i'm thinking about going down to the hood to cop by myself. i've never gone down there to cop by myself, and the last time i went down to cop at all was a while ago. i don't know where the fuck i'm going, either. so all in all, it would probably be really stupid to go try and cop by myself, right?

The only thing obvious about Camden is to stay the fuck out of there.

At Ross St don't go all the way into seth boyden, you will see people outside yelling at people. Make a Uturn before you enter the projects. Do not go at night time either. There are a shit ton of other places in the area to get dope, you don't really need to go anywhere else, but people are usually out there.

They're demolishing Baxter Terrace soon. Thank god. What a cesspool that place is.
Surprisingly, Newark is on it's way back up. (Hey it only took about 30 years after the riots!). I would think in 10 years you'll be hard pressed to find dope in Newark. They're tearing down projects left and right.
And if you want to live when you go get your dope, I'd probably avoid Patterson.

Yes it would be stupid to go by yourself, especially since you haven't done it before by yourself and don't know where you are going. I'd say just smoke some herb and try and get ahold of some people who you've gone with before or who can hook you up.
It's just not worth the risk imo, they will spot a cracker who doesn't know what the hell he's doing a mile off and try to rob your ass or at least rip you off. Play it smart man.

You'd be surprised. When I was 15, (I am 22 now, white AND female) I used to walk from my town to Baxter Terrace to pick up dope. For some reason no one ever messed with me, if anything they were really nice. They would help me wrap it up and give me good advice on stashing it/tossing it in case anything happened with cops or the like. I wouldn't recommend anyone else doing that, ever, but doesn't always end bad.

Newark is on it's way back up. Downtown is pretty nice. They have a pretty awesome museum (used to work there with the kiddies in the summer camp program) and a hell of a lot more culture than shitty touristy Manhattan has to offer. There is a lot of development going on there, and in the surrounding areas (for example, the demolishing of all the warehouses in neighboring Harrison near the PATH station, they are putting a stadium there I think). You are right. In ten years, that whole area is going to be a LOT more different than it is now.

Yeah, Baxter Terrace doesn't seem that bad. I live in Newark, so I've walked through there a few times. I haven't heard of a single shooting in that area since I've lived here. Robberies, sure, but shootings no.
Where do you live, 22 white girl? East Orange? Kearny? Harrison?

It kind of makes me nervous giving out my location on an anonymous drug board, so I'll just say it's either Kearny or Harrison. All I have to do is walk over the Clay St. bridge and I am there.
