Cheapo scales on Ebay

Are they any good? Many of them advertise they are sensitive to the .1g and sell for under $15.00.
Anyone have any input? My buddy used to have a lot of use for scales and usually spent upwards of 90 bucks at a physical store. Are they cheaper because they are on Ebay?

I hope so, I bought one an hour ago for 10.99 including shipping. Put a nickel on it to make sure it's reading accurately. A nickel is 5 grams.

in my own opinion, i'd just find a nice scale and buy it...ebay or not find the scale you want, then find out where to get it.

Ouch I paid $30 (CAN) for the same scale when a local headshop was having a 50% off clearance sale. I always knew that place was a rip-off.

i bought one for like $5 + $4 shipping. it only has tenth weighing but honestly that's all i needed. actually i got an email a day after i bought it saying they were out of stock so they bumped my scale up to a higher-end model, and it had a nicer finish and had a 600g max rather than a 300

how do they get these scales for under $5? That's almost the cost of manufacturing and shipping.
Don't worry bout it rupergirl79 I've lost money on this hobby more easily than that. Like building a Martha. Plus International shipping and even shipping in Canada cost a lot more than just in the US anyway.
