I wonder if your casing layer is dry... ? You haven't misted in 2.5 weeks?

also what of your FAE? Rh is too low, add 4" more moist perlite, and wet down the old stuff some too... misting needs to be done daily... Temps are ok

I've been fanning 5 times a day. I'll add more perlite. Misting shall begin.

The cakes were crumbled yes. Maybe you're right, too bad this is my last grow.....
What about removing the top vermiculite? I only ask because there are shrooms growing out the sides of the casing where the small gap between the subtrate and the edge of the box is letting in sunlight...
Cheers!

multispore isn't the cause everytime something wrong happens. multispore gives people great results on a regular basis.
usually 1 or more environmental factors will be the cause of any questionable grow you see here. whether or not you're using an isolate will not make a big difference if you dont have solid technique.
as to the question, i would let all the fruits that are growing right now mature. pick off any aborts or stragglers.
then i would wash off the top of the casing and dunk for a 24 hours, then crumple some wax paper and flatten it back out, put it on top of the colonized substrate, and wait. this will keep a good microclimate near the substrate layer.
this will be the least labor intensive way of getting a good 2nd pinset.(hopefully)

I know its not always the cause.. I like to say it.. lol.. im an asshole like that
Environmental factors cause most of the poor flushes you will see.. especially if the casing layer was not prepped and applied right..
crumbling cakes is and excellent way to migrate from cakes to casing, considering you only change part of your method, instead of all of it.. brf casings work very well, and are very reliable..
if all your environment variables are right, then your casing layer dried out.. that causes horrible pinsets...
o yeah.. PS.. isolate.. hehehehehehehe.. im so evil

Spores were from spores101uk.
Living situation is indeed why it's my last grow.
Cheers everyone!
