real quick dunking question

First time dunking cakes. Read the dunk tek. Accidently bought "steamed distilled" instead of "spring water." This is ok, right? More important, is it recommended to add some bleach or h2O2? If so, which is better? How much to add?

Look you seem to be confusing yourself with what is actually going on with the dunk tek.
Firstly an explanation of what you`re trying to acomplish would be that you are trying to hydrate your cakes.
Meaning you are trying to supply them with the moisture they need for fruiting.
So ultimatelly all you are doing is dunking them in a bath of water and letting them wick up as much moisture as they need.
So as long as you have sterile water no h2o2 or peroxide is necessary.
So steam distilled and spring water will both work.
Hell tap water will work if you have good clean water in your area.
Most tap water has bleach added,

correct, don't add peroxide or bleach to the dunk water,
just refridgerate during the dunk if possible.
any water will work, except salt water.
