Electric Hotplate Burner for 941 Cooker

Has anyone here ever ran a 941/1941X on either a lab style ceramic top hot plate or a cooking style hotplate? What where your experiences? What about using a heavy duty timer to time the cycle?
I have my eye on this Cadco 1500 watt model that goes for about $140. but when I read a clone brands description (Broilking) that appears to be the exact same unit with a different label it says it only handles up to 12 qt pots...I think I read somewhere that someone else may have used this model as well.
Any input is appreciated thanks.

I'm interested in hearing others experiences in operating specifically a 941 type pressure cooker with an electric hotplate an their notes on it.

im assuming that your stove is either
A: ceramic/porcelain B: broken
a hotplate will eventually bring a 41q PC to 15psi, the question is how long? and: will it support the weight?

I have a 925, and a 1500w hotplate that I use (it cost about $50)... the hotplate goes from setting 1-6 and it keeps 15 psi at 2.5, I got it because it says your not supposed to use the big pressure cookers on your flat-top stove, I think it works great.

That looks like them wacky European outlet sockets...
What model/brand of burner is that there? Thanks for the information! I appreciate your input.

You probably can't find this one that I have in America, but some other similar cheap one from an electronics store with 1500w would work perfect for you. Higher watts might even help you to heat it up faster, mine takes about 15 or 20 minutes to get up to full pressure on the highest heat, then i can turn it down to 2.5.

Sorry for bumping old thread, but did you guys ever solve this? What kind of hot plates are people using now? Most the ones I'm seeing are glass tops or look too weak to support the weight

TY. Wanted the electric version for the past 8 years. Saw a good deal for a rebranded 941 on ebay and had to jump on it. Now I'm scrambling.
the double like someone mentioned somewhere, balancing on two burners, or the single?
