Amanita in the front yard?

Where does it grow? my front yard
Stem: 5-6 inches, semi hollow
Cap: unopened so round... maybe 4 inches across
Spore print color: I havent been able to take a print yet but am waiting on the younger mushrooms to open so that I can take said print
Bruising: light brown
Other information: smell: none
I realize this is not a FULL description of the mushroom. I cannot take the sporeprint as the mushroom hasnt quite opened yet but would like some feedback as to possibilities (amanita?). I have NO INTENTIONS on eating this mushroom at least until I get a definite identification including the print off the other mushrooms once they open up. I would however appreciate any feedback as to possibilities, just to see if they are worth keeping around.
so what do u think?

From the base of the stem (stipe), I don't think so.

The cap, yes, the base of the stem, no.

It's not an Amanita, I believe it is a Lepiota. Based on the size, Cholorophyllum molybdites is a possibility. When the other ones open up, see if the gills are bright white or if there is a hint of green. And of course give a spore print.

Good call, xmush.
I agree, this thing looks like a Lepiota.
grimR, if you wait for a day or so the gills will still start to mature spores on their surfaces. If you cut the cap open you might be able to make a spore print. Even if you don't do that you can potentially see any changes in color of the gills. In particular you'd want to watch for them turning greenish, an indication that you have Chlorophyllum molybdites, a common poisonous mushroom. In general, large Lepiota types in lawns are usually C. molybdites. There are similar edible Lepiota species, but you *don't* want to eat the wrong one.
Happy mushrooming!

Those gills look quite greenish in that photo. Another feature to note is the ring, which is of the sort where it can be moved up and down the stem.
I have heard that they actually taste good. Eating a piece the size of your little fingernail will be enough to send you to the emergency room for a long, unpleasant night.
Happy mushrooming!

Cool green print!
Does it change color to olive as it dries?
Apparently people are supposed to let the print dry for a couple hours before the print color is compared, but no one ever does.

Wow, I didn't realize the toxin was so concentrated. This could potentially lead to some poisonings in people using the taste and spit ID method (me for instance, though there are several genera I don't taste).

It looks like the print color changes from a trichoderma green to a olive green in the upper left section of that print where the spores had a chance to dry out.
