 Quick PC Question

PC'ing 8 jars right now at 10 PSI with a PC I just bought. It's 8 qt 
It's only BRF that's why I'm not doing more like 90 minutes. Anyway question!!
I have a lot of steam coming from around the handle. I read my instructions thoroughly and it doesn't mention this. My stove is set to Low-Med (in between) and pressure is coming out if i jiggle the weight on top. Is this steam from around the handle normal? Should I turn it further down even though my heat is already kinda low?

Usually you'll see steam around the handle as your PC is still getting up to full pressure. That's from the locking device that keeps you from opening it when its pressurized. If everything's OK, that will stop as the pressure builds. The weight on top will wiggle and vent by itself when it's up to 15 PSI.
Don't start turning down the heat until the weight starts wiggling by itself. The first time you use it, you'll be scared by all the weird leaks. Once the inside pressurizes enough, everything will seal. Then, when it hits 15 PSI, the top weight will begin venting. Once the top weight vents, adjust the temperature of the oven down until the weight only lets it vent every minute or so. You want the heat to be just barely enough to keep the pressure up. If you're getting a lot of venting, you can dry out the jars.

Thanks for the help. You were right, I put the heat up to med-high and it "locked" and sealed itself. So now I have the heat on low and it is still venting (steam is coming through the top middle piece). I am worried about it running out of water since it is continuously letting steam out instead of every minute like you said though.

Turn the heat down until is calms down. If that top weight is rattling around and venting, then you're at 15psi, thus you must also be at 250F. Keep on lowering the heat until the weight stops constantly rocking. Don't worry about bringing it down too much - the temp can't drop until the pressure does too.
