Here are some pics of a cake,(yea I know one cake) I don't care I finally did It thats all that matters. Plus I got about 36 other cakes that will be dunked and rolled any minute,and I am experimenting with some wbs which is going good so far. I figure I mys well try casings. Woohoo. Any negative/positive criticism /help / insight/knowledge is welcome/ The more I learn from ya'll the better I shall get. Thanks to this great site jAyYyYy PICS WOULD BE GOOD LOL  
Inoculated these jars 5 days ago with B+ and Hawaiian. This is my third attempt. The first attempt I got contams.(due to buying non-vendor spores which I do not recommend unless you wanna piss your money away). The second attempt nothing colonized but some bacteria.(Same spores,same non-vendor). So how do they look? This is my incubator kept in between 75 and 80 depends on the time of day. This would be my still air box I concocted out of a rubber maid tub,and a pic of my fruiting chamber minus the cakes,but soon it will be full of them. Let me know what you think.Pics below.

I'd be concerned as to why most of that growth is off colored.

Thanks for the replys. The off color is actually the verm faintly showing threw the mycellium. When I pcd some of the flour turned a light tint of brown. Dont know why? Trust me the mycellium is bright white. If I would take some photography classes id learn how to use my cam. Yea the box works pretty damn good on my last hole I drilled it cracked. Hope it all works out. I wanna try wbs but gotta get this down first. Im rambling I know. jAyYyYyY

Do you plan to fruit out in a shed? What are the temps out in that thing? I bet the there are crazy fluctuations.

I get the same kind of off white mycelium in 1/2 of all my jars. It looks so thin and faint compared to all the pictures I see on here of peoples healty full mycelium. I'd love to know how to combat this. Anyone think its temps? I read everything from keeping the temp at 70 because the jars heat up 10 degrees inside, to heating the air outside to 85. I'm confused... lol
Good luck with the grow though, hope it goes great. I myself am dying to try WBS but am not comfortable with PF tek yet, sigh...

I just put my fc out in the shed for the time being to get it out of the way. But I was really wondering if it would work. It would kinda be like there natural habit in a way, the hygrometer I had in there read 100% rh,and the temp in the shed is 80 during the day and about 65 at night give or take a couple degrees.The only thing I would be worried about is it is going to start getting really hot here shortly. I guess theres only one way to find out. Ill put a mini fc out there with a couple cakes and see what happens. You think it will work? jAyYyYyY

Looks nice. I'd put some micropore tape over the inoculation holes before you sterilize the jars next time.
