 so i think im going to college...

3 years after high school im decding to go to a 2 year college then hopefully transfer to a real college but i dont know what to study. i was thinking agricultural technology like horticulture or something. i would love to work outdoors, studying mushrooms or something but only if the pay is worth it. anybody out there got any ideas for a major that would be enjoyable and beneficial?

I'm at the 2 year mark and thinking about computer science. It's something I think I'll enjoy and it pays alright.

I don't have any real suggestions as to a particular field, but I say go for it! I didn't actually finally decide to attend college until I was much older than the average student, but it paid off in dividends and I am now successful in my field. My advice is just to focus on your studies and give it your all, if you do you are pretty much guaranteed to succeed and have an excellent future career.
PS- whatever you decide, make sure it is something that you truly enjoy and wouldn't mind doing for several years to come. The key to a successful career is choosing something that is enjoyable to you.

i dont think college is cool at all, but i need to go in order to get my life on track. i live about 20 minutes from a college and went to a party there a few times and the kids partying were the biggest bunch of faggots, acting like immature little homos who didnt know how to have a good time, get shitfaced, and still maintain their composure. those fucking kind of people piss me off and that kind of deterred me away from going but now im realizing that college is a MUST if i want to be successful

I said the same thing about a cousin of mine that majored in math (I was ignorant and thought there was no real opportunities for a math major)
He is now a statician for a pharmaceutical company, he is working for the devil but he is successful, not living with his parents
My cousin is very successful owns 3 homes one of which is a 430 acre ranch in Colorado.
I don't think that thought pattern means anything, he is a math wiz.

Do it man, college can open many doors, and some of those doors don't have a specific degree attached you know. It just puts you one step ahead of all the other people who have no degree. And I'm sure you will meet great people.
