GUATEMALA STRAINS

I live in Guatemala City.

For the past years Ive seen strains of Cubensis and Mexicana and other unidentified species growing at the city surroundings. However mushrooms population is decreasing due to urban growth.

Conservation of this ancient maya strains is a MUST!

Im just starting the process of hunting and cultivation, so I can realease these strains to the public.

As im a newbie and not a mycologist, I need advice, research help, cultivation tips for mexicana strains, possible substrate substitutes for those which i cant find in Guatemala (like rye seeds)and even, some MINOR FUNDING to make this a professional project.

What I need is people willing to save these strains. Any opinion or help will be APPRECIATED.

Reason:
You might post this in the strain thread which is a sticky at the top of the page.  Learn cultivation, take prints and give them away all you want.  Cubensis is a species, and its spores travel the world on the winds.  There is little difference between cubes that grow in various countries.  Individual isolates on the other hand, have a fairly wide variance.

If you wish to discuss strains, please do so at the top of the page in the strain thread.
