I'm going to try spawning to a coir and store bought cow poo substrate.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to ratios for the mix?
Thank you very much.

i just eye it out, try 50/50 maybe 75 coir 25 poo. really i don't think it matters either will work by itself so i would imagine it working fine with just about any ratio

50/50?
look up some of shroober's posts. he uses black cow manure and has great luck. im not sure of his ratios though. i think 50/50 would work. ive heard though that that composted cow manure turns to mud when you add water.

Says Beef Manure on the bag. Hardly premium stuff, but that's all I can get in the concrete jungle.

Do 50 coir and 50 Black Kow, and then add some verm if necessary. The goal is to make the substrate light and fluffy, Black Kow tends to get very muddy if not properly mixed with something like coir or straw

Good work, Shroob. I am going to sound incredibly ignorant now, but what does the retail cow poo smell like? If I pasteurise it in my kitchen will the entire house have that unmistakable farmyard odour? The wife barely tolerates my hobby as it is.
Thanks again, all.
