Harvesting before flushes are complete, questions?
    #8411738 - 05/17/08 02:00 AM (15 years, 10 months ago)

So I'm noticing, with my cakes, that a lot of mushrooms are growing to maturity (about to drop their spores) before the other pins are finished growing. I have been harvesting those mushies to avoid the mess in my FC but what are the consequences of doing so? I know many people say to completely finish the first flush before harvesting but by doing otherwise, what is it that I'm doing to my future flushes? In short, why is harvesting like this bad?

it's not bad at all, I say try to harvest right before the veil breaks unless it's a healthy cap you want to print :mushroom2:
