I was just at K-mart saw some ice melt and thought it would be good for desiccant, it was realy cheap since there is no ice anywhere right now ...... ingredients are Magnesium Chloride and Sodium Chloride .... will this work pretty well as a desiccant for shrooms? I know calcium chloride is good but didn't know about this

sorry i have no useful information for you on this but I'm just curious why you would introduce your shrooms to these chemicals when there are dozens of ways to dry shrooms

i guess it depends on how much you are drying small amounts like 50 grams wet or so i would just put in a paper bag with a paper towel. if you have large amounts i would recommend a food dehydrator. i have seen people build racks next to there computer fan and use that. the lightest airflow would help.

I went to walmart and bought some damprid it works great I fan dried them for 24 hr. then would put the shrooms on a few different racks of a desiccant chamber.
for the racks I cut a cereal in like 3 inch long strips and stapled it into the shape of a circle then took an old window screen and stapled the screen to the circular shapes. It worked great and was easy to side since

damprid and real dessicants work amazingly, but they arent super cheap, and they solidify into a big chunk when they suck up the moisture.
also, make sure whatever youre drying them in is water proof. i tried dryin some with damprid in the bottom of a cardboard box and all the moisture it sucked out, it pissed right into the carboard so when i went to pick it up, the whole bottom and about a litre of water came crashing down...the dessicants also suck the moisture out of the air and anything around it...

Damp-rid is calcium chloride, also, magnesium chloride (which can be found anywhere, quik-melt ice melter) can be used as a desiccant. Which will be better then using an over or dehydrater because 1-it's cheap 2-it can be used for storage or large quantities, and 3- it uses no heat, which can damage potency. happy tripping!

Bullshit.
