Transplant results....
    #8368401 - 05/06/08 10:59 AM (15 years, 10 months ago)

I know I posted about this earlier, and was reccomended not to do this, but this is the same transplant, and I did not want to waste it. I simply had put a few mycelium enriched pies into a grow tub, outdoors, and besides natural rain, I watered them just enough to keep moist. I have already picked 5 specimens out of it, and here is what has happened since yesterday morning....again, I did nothing but bring the pies out of the field...

The reason why many things ain't recommended isn't that they don't work, but because they don't work very well.
Plenty of people wasted plenty of time, money and nerves on projects, that that were almost certain not to develop the way, they imagined.
They fail most of the time, which is why they ain't suggested.

However, it's alway good to see, thing can work out, just the way, they're supposed to

I was wondering about that, but I thought that would destroy the mycelium network in the poo....when it seems to "peter out: I may try that, but most likely I will transplant some more from the supply field...since it does work, with a bit of care getting it from their to the place I am studying...

It's pretty neat seeing a small system going in a contained space.

The problem with casing this stuff would pretty much be the enormous risk of contams.
Since you probably couldn't provide steady FAE (which is essential for "dirty" material), it's very likely for it to rot.

But well, you've had success with the transplant itself, so why shouldn't it work this time?

You have nothing to lose, I guess.

However, you've been warned.;)
