Greetings, i have had two cakes in my FC for 3 1/2 days, there are now area of the cake which have mycelium shooting out in finger like structures, like 1/3 inch long, they dont look like pins to me from any pics ive seen, but im new to this, could these be pins? (they are white and fuzzy no brown) or could turn into pins ? they are in clusters, like 5 to 7 of these coming out of one point

btw temp is 72-76F should i adjust ?

What you are really looking for are little "balls" of mycelia. They will look like ultra-small cotton balls along the surface of your substrate - they turn into pins.

Could be either hyphal knots,which turn into pins or aerial myc.If it's aerial myc,it just means that the little hungry twerps are just looking for more food..Just have patience man,soon you'll see pins!!
