Question regarding the sterilization of brf/verm cakes (tek)

I am going to be starting my first grow and unfortunately I do not have access to a pressure cooker right now, so I will be using an enclosed pot to sterilize my cakes. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I should go about doing this. I cannot find much detailed information on sterilizing without a pressure cooker. I'm guessing its just because most everyone uses a pressure cooker. Any help/suggestions would be very well appreciated.

I'm actually planning on doing this within the next few minutes, I have followed every step of the pf tek up to the sterilization.

Watch from around the 7 minute mark on the first video, and then continue into the second. I believe it has the information you're looking for.

It's from RogerRabbit's mushroom cultivation DVD.

Search for Let's Grow Mushrooms on YouTube and you'll find a number of excerpted sections. All ready good information, coupled with visual representation.

a big pot, and get something to suspend the jars off the bottom of the pan about an inch or more.

alright... thanks... about how long should i do this for and do i need to repeat the process? I read somewhere that I needed to do it once every 24 hours about 3 or 4 times but I only saw that one like one website... so i don't know.

Watch the vids, it works very well if you follow the instructions... Multiple sterilization rounds is not necessary IMO.

I beleive you steam steralize(put them in when pot comes to a steam) for 90 minutes, so an hour and 30 minutes. if my math is correct, I do it a little longer just to be safe.

that makes 3 of us.just keep it to a point where the water doesnt buble out of control.Getn into the jars maybe and making the water consistency outta wack....I think ???? just wanna cover the top and try 2 keep the steam in..40 to 60 min.
