hey man you should check out utorrent- http://www.utorrent.com/download.php
i used to use Azureus but they added all this crazy extra stuff to it that made it kinda slow, utorrent doesn't take up much ram.
Try www.isohunt.com to find torrents.

Do you not know how to use torrents in general? Google BitTorrent and read up on it.

basically you use a torrent program like azureus or utorrent to open a torrent file.
When you do this the program will start downloading whatever file you are trying to get like an album of tom petty mp3's, it will download little pieces of the files from loads of different people, these people are called "seeds".
Azureus will piece all these little bits of files together to form the whole thing your downloading.

can't help you with real time priority, don't know what it is.
Yeah, the more seeds the better, there's a little face thing somewhere on the azureus window, if it doesn't go green you might want to look into port forwarding to get your downloads faster.

u really need to use utorrent. it is much easier for a noob to configure and it uses almost no ram what so ever, azereus uses a ton.
second, if u want to get some good music, u need to forward the port your torrent program uses and then someone might invite u to a private tracker where speeds are better and quality is higher viruses are few and none and privacy is great.

Azureus v3 has greatly improved over older versions. Runs without any problems for me and uses around 50mb RAM when used normally, CPU load is also very small.
I'm on a LAN with 3 heavy users and our router did (almost) crash if we used uTorrent. Azureus, with the same settings, doesn't cause any problems for the router. I don't know why, but if you experience internet problems while running uTorrent, try Azureus.

I dont you just said you dont know why... But I cant think of why different clients would be better/worse for a router... hmmmm

Generally, no. It can lock up your computer for all but the application you are assigning realtime priority to since it devotes virtually all of your CPU cycles to that one program.

uTorrent from what i've heard is dodgy as now.
Azureus is not bad, but stopped using it when i found KTorrent for the KDE desktop on linux,a much faster program.

i like the speeds i get w/ ktorrent, but it won't let me connect to a leech who isn't connected to another leech which fails for music trackers as there is usually only one leech. if u can solve this problem for me though i will convert.
