First Grow Timeline - Assistance Needed

Early I came to the forum asking a few questions and after that thread and quite a bit of reading online Ive begun my first grow.
PF-Tek 1/3 Brown Rice Flour 1/3 Water 2/3 Vermiculite
1) Materials Ended up with these materials so far.
- 48x 1/2-pint tapered Ball jars (3 holes added) - 12lbs. bag of vermiculite - 5lbs. brown rice flour - 5x pie trays - 3x 15 gallon tubs - stirring spoon - mixing bowls - syringes - sponges - air sanitizer - plastic gloves - dust masks - tin foil
2) Jarring
- Start off by washing everything - Mix vermiculite and water - Mix in brown rice flour - Fill jars up to top leaving 1/2 inch - Clean open area of rim thoroughly - Add vermiculite to the to the lid - Add tin foil over over - Boil jars lightly in pressure cooker for 45m - Leave overnight for cooling
3) Inoculation
- Heat needle (HOT) - Let needle cool, remove tin foil and add 1cc of spores to each jar - Recover with tinfoil - Add date and strain to the top of tinfoil
4) Incubation - ?
Now Im up to this set thus far, but I dont know exactly what to do. I live in Florida and the inside of the house stays about 75-77*F so I dont think I will need to use any type of incubator.
But what I am wondering is what is the best lighting situation, blackness-dim-bright-light/dark cycle?
Also if anyone wants to review my previous steps and tell me if I made any mistakes than be great.

dont need an incubator. set them in a cabinet and forget em.
you dont need lighting in your incubator only in your fruiting chamber. i say go 12on/12off or whatever's easy for you.

What about the tin foil on top covering the holes... Should I remove them to promote air exchange or leave them to prevent contam... PFTek suggests multiple layers of tinfoil and I only have 1 (on top of the metal jar lids so 2)... Should I add another?

You dont need an inc. Do as the other guy suggested, wait... It can take 4 days to 2 weeks depending on how many spores went in there... contam, etc. So don't worry about it if you think it's going too slow. If it's been a week and you see nothing... Hit us up but I think your good. NO LIGHT, NO added humid, NO FAE... Just leave em. When they are ready... find a tek you like if you are interested in casing, if not... Find a cake tek you like. As for lighting... Call me a rebel, but I only give em 12/12 lighting until I see pins, then I drop it down to 6-8 hours and have it on a timer so that it goes off and on throughout the daytime. It's more or less spiking them to initiate pin, but after that, they favor less light...

i'd take it off because you have that dry verm layer to protect it.. right?
cant hurt to leave it on but if you take it off, it provides for gas exchange which is good.

If you followed the tek, you should take the tin foil of and wipe the top down with alcohol... But do not dowse the top with alcohol. The 1/2" layer of vermiculite in the jars will act as your air filter and will allow the proper required amount of air exchange for colonization.

Not worried about slow grow... I started with 3 test jars last Tuesday (3/25) and their growing much faster than I thought, I only got to inoculation today but this time with 24 jars so I don't want to mess this one up

The only problem I possibly see with that is the closet I have them sitting in has a A/C duct which I'm under the impression can bring around many contams... Is it crucial to remove the tinfoil covers?

move them to a cabinet such as above the fridge..
or if you gotta keep em in the closet then just leave the covers on dude.. it's not that big of a deal man.
if you're that worried about it, go get some micropore tape or somethin.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/7759580/an/0/page/1 IF you get them too warm you will dry out the substrate and the colonization will stop... just keep them in a box at room temp

Oi! It appears that two of the three original test jars has a faint sign of yellow color. Now it is very hard to see and it seems to be only against the glass, any ideas?
