I've heard lot's of good things about here. I'm in Edmonton and was thinking of moving to Calgary for a job but I hear a lot of good things about Vancouver and there are a lot of places for me to work there I'm sure.

Anyone from Van or live there? whats it like? what area of town is good to live in.

i've lived there and don't have too much good to say. beautiful scenery but super expensive and traffic that makes calgary and edmonton traffic look like a sunday drive in the country. very multicultural, especially orientals and east indians. drug abuse and drug culture mars some areas. one time it rained everyday for 6 weeks so you have to be prepared for that dreariness.

i hate the city though so i'm biased.

Whatever, Vancouver is amazing. It's a way nicer city than Edmonton or Calgary, and the cost of living isn't higher, except maybe in north van.

But I love that city, so I'm a bit biased.:tongue2:

So true. And its not all expenssive. There are cheaper areas. I have a friend that lived just an hour and a half from downtown.

Vancouver is the best city in the world. PERIOD.
In fact for years and years it was voted the best city on EARTH to live in. Taking EVERYTHING into account, housing, prices, pollution, crime, health, recreation.

Now these days Vancouver loses to Zürich Switzerland.

Not bad though the second best city in the world is still quite an honor. I miss Vancouver. :bongload::bigweed:

Oh and show me a better pot rally.
Thousands of $$$ in free marijuana, thousands of proud pot people all together. Vancouver is king :kingcrankey:

I wouldn't really want to live anywhere else in Canada

You would probably like Burnaby, aim to live near Metrotown because then you're close to the mall with all the anime stores and also close to downtown Vancouver where you can visit Scrape Records or the BC Marijuana Party bookstore. There's a lot less crime and addicts etc... than living right on Hastings or something.

Or live in Coquitlam, or Maple Ridge, or Pitt Meadows. All are quite nice.
