Three arrested after western Sydney heroin haul

Three people have been arrested and heroin with a potential street value of about $100,000 has been seized in raids across western Sydney, police have revealed.

A 34 year old man was taken into custody after Wetherill Park Region enforcement squad officers raided a Thorney Road, Wakeley address around 10am yesterday morning.

Fourteen grams of heroin were allegedly seized in that operation.

Police arrested a 34 year old woman moments later in Coolibar Street, Canley Heights, seizing $4000 in cash.

Next, officers raided a house at Ferngrove Road in Canley Heights with help from the Dog Squad.

They allegedly found heroin, cannabis leaf, $12,280 in cash and a hydraulic press, all with an estimated street value of about $100,000.

A 54 year old man was arrested soon after at Dufek Place in Tregear.

Police say yesterday's arrests were part of Operation Starritt, a four-month investigation into the street-level supply of heroin in Sydney's south-west and west.

what a hotspot of crime wakely must be tho its a pity thorney road only runs through fairfield west

they must want to spread the statistics around
