 21 gal VS 17 gal Stack n' View Monotubs *picture, update*

I was so excited yesterday when I found these things at my local ACE. they had both, they had the 21 gal labeled 22gal though. So I skipped them in lieu of the 17 gal. As this will be my first attempt and do not expect success so I opted for the smaller tub.
However, in a thread I did see monstermitch say "the 21 gallon ones are better than the 17 gallon ones." But offered no explanation of why. Anyone care to tackle this one. As far as I am concerned it is probably a personal preference + fruting space issue. Is there any other reason?
Also I am about to search for the appropriate depth of the substrate and casing level as I need to adapt the measurements on where to put the holes. I'm currently thinking about 2-2.5qts WBS to approximately 1 brick of Coco Coir/coffee grounds (80/20) The former sould expand to about 9-10qts If anyone has any experience on that I could use a good answer.

There Bigger so you can fit more in them & theoretically end up with more mushys

So it is a personal preference. However, after making one of the 17gallon ones into a monotub I found it to be a pain in the ass as the size is considerable different than the 21 gallon or the monotub tek which followed the 21gallon model. Right now I have 4 inches room for substrate and casing material. It should've been five. At least the center of the whole is five inches. (dumb measuring). The other side is correct, but it means there is about 2 inches distance between ~2inches difference between the two holes. I think I am gonna go out some time this weekend and exchange my other 17 gallon for the 21 gallon.
I'll post a picture of it in a minute. I'm looking for my USB cable right now.
EDIT: Here are those pictures of the 17gal monotubs. Forgive my horrid taping abilities.
Now I hope my spore syringes get here this weekend so I can actualy start doing something.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! Everywhere Ive found these tubs (online) they say either 17 gal or 21 gal but off no pictures of the 17gal (I asume) maybe they only show pictures of the 17 gal but not the 20 gal. /
Either way its a confusing mess and I hope to have my hande on 10 21 gal tubs soon
