And name gradients, and all that jazz. It's a little odd. Not sure if I'm gonna stick with it.

No avatars + no sigs = the way to go.

I like the avatars - some of them are very original. No sigs though - don't need all that graffiti littering up the posts. Now if we only had an option to make embedded images appear as links ... that would really clean things up.

I like sigs, avatars and gradients. It's easier to get familiar with people.

Yep, I turned them all off years ago.
Much easier to read.
Still have gradients on though.

I agree, but if I had to do away w/ something I get rid of sigs some people just cram to much in that space.

Same here.
Fucks me up for a few days when someone changes their avatar.

Easier to read their names if everyone doesn't have multicolored swirly avatars under them!

Shouldn't be too difficult when there's ratings and status identifiers between the two. The avatar is a quick way to identify someone without having to see the name and make sure it's the same spelling as the person you think it is. Gets annoying when everyone and their brother has "Shroom" in their name.

Yeah. I'm probably gonna turn the avatars and gradients back on, but this is very nice without the signatures.

I happen to like swirly multicolored avatars
I think it's much easier to recognize an avatar then it is to look at a name. Especially science some people have very similar names.

I like seeing some sigs with the unusual info in them, but I found that a lot of times, someone will put huge images in there, and many times, take up more space than the post itself. Having them off makes the entire page look a lot cleaner.
Avatars and gradients remain on, however. Don't really see any benefit to not having them.
