My pins... : (
    #7968560 - 02/02/08 12:46 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

Conditions: FIRST GROW - 40 Gallon Fish tank, 5 inches of prelite, humitidy at 90% and Temp at 73F. BRF cakes spawned to coir and case with 50/50 peat and verm. Pins are about 1/8 in with dry looking caps. (started pinning 3 days ago.

Question: I have a feeling something is wrong. My pins are growing really slow but look pretty healthy. What should I do to ensure that they dont abort or stay midgets? I am giving them 12 on 12 off of light.

I had another tray that I took the cased substrate out of that had no signs of pinning and found 3 inch shrooms growing at the bottom. They looked way bigger and had the moist caps. Im confused. Any suggestions will help me out. Oh and I will have pics soon.

Make sure the tank isnt too wet/moist but also that it isn't too dry.
You need just the right balance otherwise they can stall or abort.
