Best way to transplant?
    #7956682 - 01/30/08 05:19 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

So, my friend and I discovered 11 plants growing in his backyard the other night. We didn't plant them, we must of thrown some seeds in the yard at some point.

Well, the reason I made this thread was to ask what would be the best way to transport them? We cannot have these in his backyard and need to move them.

What is the best method? Could I just cut the bottom and then plant it again? Or should I uproot it and plant it?

I basically have no garden knowledge and don't want to ruin this awesome surprise we found.

Thanks.

Heya,

I'd uproot them carefully and transplant to big enough pots (for larger plants over 10 litres) depending on the plant size of course.

don't clone them until you find out what sex they are because it is a big waste to clone males!!

next if you take a shovel and go around at an angle \/ keep the soil that the roots are in so that it is less shock when you plant it else where.

Before you do any of this, be sure to learn how to take care of the plants. You can't simply stick them in your house and expect them to bud.

I don't understand your question. These just happened to pop up in my friends backyard, probably because sometimes we toss seeds back there.

I live in SE Texas.
