Soaking WBS in Honey Water
    #7934177 - 01/26/08 09:56 AM (16 years, 1 month ago)

Has anyone ever tried soaking their WBS in honey water or karo syrup water before PCing and innoculating? I was just thinking, since LCs grow so fast, maybe the extra sugars would speed grain jars or bags up...

I agree. If you want to speed up jars or bags, innoculating with more LC is the way to go. And shake/massage at 20% colonization.

Well, I was thinking the honey water would be diluted pretty far to not make it sticky... plus, the seed still has to be rinsed afterwards, so I'd assume that would make it even less clumpable.

Dude, whats your avatar? A simpsons character smoking an opium pipe? How have I never seen that before?

I do not know...lol
Well if you really want to go about soaking wbs with some honey/karo, I don't really have any hard facts or experience to help you. Alls I can say is, more LC + Shaking = hella fast.

just don't add so much LC that it throws off your moisture content
