Anyone ever grow anadenanthera sp?

I was just curious because I have a bunch of seeds. I'm debating whether I should save some for cultivation or just make yopo with all of them.
I already looked on erowid but they don't have any information about cultivation from what I can see.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anadenanthera
find growing guidelines in the fabaceae family and stick to those..
although it would probably take a while to get any type of usable growth since it's a tree. :P

Care to elaborate on why you wouldn't suggest using yopo? My experience with 5-MeO-DMT is limited and I've heard it described as "God taking a shit down your throat" but I'd be curious as to what your experience was like.
I don't plan on sniffing it, just for the record. So that may or may not make a difference. I was just planning on smoking and eating it. Definitely don't intend to have it shot into my nose through a snuff tube. Those guys are hardcore.

Thanks for the pics Cptn! Sorry to hear it crapped out on ya.
The ones I have are peregrina. I guess I'll give it a shot but won't get my hopes up.

Yeah, you might be right with that one. But I had sinus surgery back in October so I've pretty much sworn off putting things up my nose anymore. Kinda creates a bit of a dilemma but it's a resolution I'd like to adhere to.

Snorting is uncomfortable( Tense muscles, shivers or dizzyness Not to meantion the excruciating pain.) strong effect psychedelic wise, but not nice like dmt, more confusing blurred feeling(By pain mabey)...
smoking only gave me similar muscle pains again, with a "psychedelic rush" feeling.
Growing was always successful till about a year in when the plants just dried up and died.. happend 3 times. iv since given up.
Must be the root space that messes them up..

A word of advice, don't eat it. and with smoking, i'd rather go with Peregrina - i found less visual but more pleasant, where as (i assume) the 5-OH-DMT content of Columbrina made the over all experience frightening and made it very hard to stand up because of the muscular effect.
I've tried growing it, very successful germination, but the climate where i am is not good to it. But if you want the plant for an ornament in your garden, give it a go!
But, If you're after an experience, there is alway phalaris extraction.

Yeah, well it's just that I already have the seeds so I need to do something with 'em.
And mine are peregrinas so I guess all is well.

it's a native species here...kinda hard to find though...
i haven't found any yet but i try to always look for them. btw, they have very good wood, so there was a time people would just cut them down to use, probably is the reason why is hard to find them near cities..

I have o say growing anadanthera is quite easy, one of the easiest plants I've ever grown as a houseplant. The first year is slow, but the second is vigorous...I have four new branches rising off its petite mimosa trunk. I live in zone 7b, so need to keep them potted. I ended up using the old seeds from my pack last year this spring and they all sprouted. <SNIP> Anyways, I'm reading about using the seeds in a smoke able form, research using lemon essential oil, supposedly lessens or eliminates nausea side effects.
