I'm having the same problem trying to find a place in LA that isn't insanely over-priced...

You're saying you can't afford $1000 per month?

Yes well, rent is one of the most expensive aspects of basic living. One of two things that serious need to be reduced, along with the price of gasoline.

$1000 a month? holy shit!!! im Used to paying $450 to 600 a month for a one bedroom apt in Utah, unless you are in Ogden, then it is about $350 or more.

easy in Tulsa
I liked the layout of my last one bedroom apt, but living in an apt just sucks in general.
I have a two bedroom picked out, but I need the extra room as a place to put all my art stuff.
I don't know, I should just rent a house. it's just as much as rent at a decent apt. the apt I want is like $775/month. which is REALLY high for Tulsa.

heh. i'm not willing to pay more than $550 . i want to move out soon
my roommate is driving me nuts plus this house is old and has floor board heating, meaning, THEY SUCK and the house sometimes feels colder inside than it is outside. that and this is a duplex and the people upstairs, well since it's an old house, you can hear every little footstep..

I pay $565 for a one bedroom 10 blocks from downtown Denver. It's great. Rooftop view is spectacular.

oh i know, i have known people thtat used to live in California and moved here, just for that reason. The cost of living is less but the minumum wage is lower and the jobs dont pay as good here, well generally they dont unless you have good education and experience.

My dream has always been to have a nice home along the coast with a great ocean view, in a town where 90% of the population is women between the ages of 20 and 30, with a lottery-type income where I never have to work again in my life.
