Alternative to TiT and Heatbomb?

Heated Blanket?

Just crank the bitch up to high, plug it in and wrap your jars in it?

No mess, No risk of exploding bottles, nice snuggly warm feeling when you wake up in the morning for your myc?

Would this work? I don't see why it wouldn't.

Might not get super duper warm but like..seems like a lot less hassle.. you could just wrap jars i nthe blanket and put in a box/container

heat blankets are dangerous and will most likely overheat your jars. I run an oil radiator in the closet that my jars are in. really only necicary in these colder months. I don't use any type of incubation from spring to fall.

Yea, it just kinda popped into my head because my roomie and i live in a small cottage on a lake in the midwest and its pretty cold in some parts of teh house so just trying to brainstorm I suppose.

Could you use a heat blanket if you use a happy medium setting?

Find a way so that its not to hot and maybe so that the jars aren't in direct contact with it? (Like line a bin with the blanket and then seperate the jars and the heat blanket with another thick cloth?)

heat blankets are known for starting fires and shouldn't be left unatended. most modern heat blankets won't even stay on for more than 8 hours and autoshut off for safety. if you are going to incubate try a heatbomb. I still like a smale space heater type device.
