Soundcards - Application: recording music
    #7792898 - 12/23/07 03:18 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

I know nothing about soundcards. I'm looking for a good soundcard that is geared towards recording.

I plan on getting a new computer fairly soon in the future hopefully and I'd like to plan for a soundcard.

That's what I want, but I can't afford them. To pricey.

Do you know any brand names or whatnot for good soundcards for PC.

I was doing a little bit of reading and I definetly want one with at least 4 analog inputs(or is it output?).

You can get the M-Audio Audiophile 2496for a good price at other music stores on the net. Try B&H photo or audiomidi.com. Don't buy from m-audio directly ($$$).

You can also get a USB mobile recording interface if the comp you got doesn't have any more available pci slots.

yzz, you're best bet is m-audio or Emu. Infact I'm pretty sure m-audio just released some top end audiophile cards for a decent price, hi-def goodness;
