I just wanted to create a thread in honor of DJ Shadow.
I have just recently re-discovered his album "Entroducing" and it is absolutely
phenomenal. The way he mixes all the beats and adds the lyrical clips into
the tracks.. is just unreal. I plan on listening to this whole album on my next mush-
room trip, which is coming up soon.
The purpose of this thread is not only to see who else on this board recognizes DJ
Shadow, but also to get some recommendations for other great DJ's like this.

yea shadow is definitely a great dj. actually haven't listened to his stuff in a while but its always good for a smoke session
hmmm artists similar to him....only one I can think of is RJD2 and UNKLE. only roughly similar
I've been listening to the dust brothers soundtrack to fightclub lately. soo chilled out and good.

Cut Chemist is kind of similar to DJ Shadow. They've done a few collaboration albums, pretty good stuff. i'll be going to their show in a couple days
edit: mad blunted jazz was a good choice

he's really not tho, the technical skill that man has is uncanny. It's too bad he got away from the trip hop and the bin diving and got into shitty hip hop. His new stuff sucks.
There are plenty of great trip hop artists out there, tricky, dj spooky, but if you like the turntablism aspect of shadow you should check out q-bert and download the movie wave twisters

I've seen qbert before, he's the best person at scratching I've ever personally seen. I've never seen shadow spin, just listened to his productions.
