the truth about "truth"

truth is limited by the perspective of the thinker
it only appears within those perspectives that are logically consistent
to know truth you must carefully distort your perspective

So truth is completely subjective?
Or there is a truth beyond subjective experience?
Or both?
Or both and more some?

What else could you call it? Whatever you wish I suppose... It seems like Being or Isness are the common titles. So is the truth beyond subjectivity the isness...Being itself? ? ? hmmm...questions are a way of The Way

If anyone tells you that "this is the truth" are they for sure lying?

The truth about truth is that Truth IS, and whenever one of us attempts to portray truth, that's what were doing, just offering a portrayal, not giving The Truth, because The Truth is beyond all forms of conceptualization and word and etc etc. Truth is the source of all portrayals. So then again this is something from a dandy book already written and forever pulsating throughout the veins of the everyone.

people often infer "truth" when they really mean a high likelihood or a statistical outcome that is almost certain
the statement above is an example of this
if you ask me: "is it true that i will die one day," i may answer: "yes"
but inductive reasoning alone does not constitute a rigorous proof that your statement is true
this kind of "truth" is logically inconsistent and should more accurately be described by some other word
real pure truth can exist within the systems of the mind and is not the same as what i think you are referring to

"everything i know is just an approximation, therefore everything is just an approximation"
humans have the highly useful ability to process information and make decisions quickly without analyzing too much
we realize that the reasons behind most decision are a mixture of clever guesswork and instinct, none of it being true in the absolute sense
from this perspective it appears that nothing is "truth"
so if you want to know truth, all you need is a new perspective where truth can exist!

Right on.
To know (relative) Truth, talk to Thoth, he wrote a book called the Tarot...

You are partly right.
There is, "relative truth"... which roughly equates to a single person's HONEST OPINION...
But there is also TRUTH. You know, when you talk about verifiable FACTS.
Consider your source, to better distinguish between one form of truth and the other.
I still can't believe people don't LOOK THESE WORDS UP, before telling us what they mean...

Any verification of "fact" is done through some measurement with some instrument(including your five senses). If quantum mechanics and relativity have taught us anything, it's that any measurement you make is true ONLY relative to the instrument used to make it. There is no privileged vantage point from which to view reality.

Yes... you're very smart.
But that IS the definition of the word, "Truth".
AND the, "It is all relative." argument won't get you very far in a court of law. Not when you're caught red-handed.
